Just before he was 15, Aylin Odalis could have chosen a big party. He preferred to turn that money into his first investment.
Aylin Odalis lives in the poblado Miguel Alemán, on the coast of Hermosillo, in the Mexican state of Sonora.
When the time came to decide how to use money destined for his quinceañera, he made an unusual choice for his age.
No big party.
No car.
With the support of the parents decided to open an activity.
Dalis Cosmetics, a small shop for make-up products made within a container adapted to commercial premises in the colony Jesús García.
The store was opened on 1 February 2026, when Aylin was 14 years old.
The most significant part of history, however, is what happened later.
Aylin didn't leave school to go to the store.
He continues to study and, after finishing the lessons, he spends the afternoon taking care of his activity.
In this way he is learning about what it means to sell, manage a business and take responsibility.
And the store is not the point of arrival.
Aylin wants to study International Trade and continue to grow the project started before even 15 years.
His choice tells something that goes beyond the value of money spent for a party.
A celebration can give you an unforgettable day.
She decided to use that same opportunity to build something destined, at least in her intentions, to last much longer.
Sometimes the first step towards independence does not come when you have large capitals or years of experience.
