There are times when even success can protect you from fear.
In 2022, while the world continued to see Ed Sheeran fill the stadiums, his private life was crossed by one of the most difficult trials. His wife, Cherry Seaborn, received the diagnosis of a tumor during the pregnancy of their second daughter.
It was in the sixth month.
Because of pregnancy, doctors decided to postpone surgery until the birth of the child. For the couple thus began a period marked by waiting, uncertainty and fear, with the awareness of not being able to intervene immediately.
Later, Ed Sheeran would have told him he felt completely impotent. He said that was the darkest moment of his life and that, for the first time, he did not know if he would ever feel happy again.
Their history, however, had begun much before fame.
Ed and Cherry had met at school in Suffolk, England. Their streets then split up: she moved to the United States to study and build her career, while he began the path that would lead him to become one of the greatest stars of music.
Years later they found themselves almost by chance and decided to start again from where everything started. Since then they have built a family together, choosing to protect their private life despite notoriety.
After the birth of their second daughter, Jupiter, Cherry finally underwent the planned intervention. The treatment was successful and, with time, Cherry returned to devote himself to family and professional projects.
