Among the hills of Lebanon is taking shape a work that can be followed... Step by step.
It is a gigantic rosary about 600 meters long.
It rises in the Deir el Ahmar region and, once completed, will be among the greatest monumental rosaries ever made in the world.
The route consists of 59 huge reinforced concrete grains, designed to be crossed by pilgrims during prayer.
Each element has a precise meaning.
The pearls dedicated to Our Father will be transformed into small spaces for confession, while those of the Hail Mary will host chapels dedicated to the saints, with panels that tell their lives.
The journey leads to a great Cross of Resurrection, transforming the recitation of the Rosary into a true pilgrimage to be lived step by step.
The structure is also designed to be illuminated at night and visible from above.
The project was founded on a land belonging to the Order Maronita Libanese and also includes a church, monastery and spaces dedicated to hospitality and meditation.
In a region that has known wars, tensions and deep wounds in recent decades, the promoters explain that the goal is to create a place dedicated to prayer, reflection and peace.
Because sometimes even a path can become a message.
And this, six hundred meters long, wants to remember that hope can be built... One step at a time.
